Furthermore, it holds significant importance in everyone's life; indeed, it is the place where one resides, serving as the cornerstone of family life and a private space imbued with social and emotional values.
The objective is to provide additional information essential for fostering a coherent comprehension of issues related to housing, habitat, and the design of residential spaces. This course aims to equip students with the critical and informed skills necessary to address the intricate challenges associated with housing, habitat, and residential space design within an ever-evolving global context.

The course of Urban Renewal and City Planning is for second-year Master's students specializing in housing and urban policy. Its purpose is to raise awareness among learners about urban policy challenges and approaches, especially regarding urban renewal policy. Ultimately, students will be able to understand the logic and procedures that govern the evolution and transformation of the urban environment in our country.
To achieve this objective, the course initiates with a retrospective of various urban and housing policies that have been implemented until the present day. Within the specific political-economic context, the first part of the course program endeavors to emphasize the relationship between urban and housing policies while examining their spatial and socio-economic impacts. The second part focuses on the concept of urban renewal. It aims to address the issues raised by this approach and the modalities for conducting urban renewal operations. In conclusion, we will provide some insights on the implementation of such projects in the local context.
