Architectural and urban programming is a subject developed to support various aspects of the project workshop work in the first term. It is a lecture-based course that focuses on the act of programming as an essential phase in architectural design at different scales. The course is divided into two parts:
qThe first part sets out a genealogical reflection which consists in briefly locating, in the genesis of the ideas and practices of the act of programming, references likely to explain the current conditions of exercise of programming according to its scales and its diversified processes.
qThe aim of the second part is to understand the practical modes of programming, and the forms of knowledge and know-how they entail. In other words, each method is explained in accordance to the nature of the project it is designed to support.
