Point mechanics is a branch of classical physics that studies the motion of objects by modeling them as dimensionless points, ignoring their internal structure. It is based on the fundamental concepts of kinematics, which describes motion without addressing its causes, and dynamics, which explains motion through the forces applied. Newton's laws are central to this study, as they connect the forces acting on an object to its acceleration. The concepts of work and energy are also addressed, allowing for the analysis of energy exchanges in mechanical systems
