General Parasitology is the branch of biology dedicated to the study of parasites, their hosts, and the relationships between them. It also studies parasites' life cycles. In this course, we are going to give different definitions associated with general parasitology: parasite, parasitism, and other types of association; we will also explain the different types of hosts.

This course is also dedicated to develop generalities about multicellular invertebrate animals adapted to a parasitic life. Here, we will talk about helminths. First, we will define some definitions, and then we will develop the classification of helminths, their general criteria, their different stages of development, and their life cycles.
