Statistics are used in virtually all scientific disciplines such as the physical and social sciences as well as in business, medicine, the humanities, government, and manufacturing. Statistics is a branch of applied mathematics including calculus and linear algebra that developed from the application of mathematical tools to probability theory.Statistics is the study of collecting data, analysing it, processing it, interpreting the results and presenting them in such a way that the data can be understood by everyone. It is at once a science, a method and a set of techniques. Data analysis is used to describe the phenomena studied, make forecasts and take decisions about them. In this way, statistics is an essential tool for understanding and managing complex phenomena.
