Informations du cours

This general parasitology course, integrated into the third-year curriculum of veterinary sciences, constitutes an essential pillar of animal medicine. It aims to equip the student with a fundamental and systemic understanding of host-parasite relationships, exploring the morphological, biological, and taxonomic diversity of the main endo- and ectoparasites encountered in veterinary practice. The focus is on life cycles, epidemiology, pathogenic mechanisms, as well as the principles of diagnosis and prophylaxis. This foundational knowledge is indispensable for addressing clinical issues, controlling parasitic diseases, and preserving animal health, in an increasingly demanding context of public health and resistance management.
