CNEAD 2024
The goal of the course "Elementary Notions of Mechanics" is to analyze different situations and physical phenomena using the fundamental laws and principles related to classical mechanics. This goal will be achieved through the following elements: - Description of translational and rotational movements of bodies; - Application of concepts and laws of dynamics to analyze body movement; - Calculation of work and energy in simple situations; - Application of conservation principles of mechanics. This course is the first of three physics courses, and its successful completion is mandatory to follow the next two courses: Fundamental Notions of Mechanics and Magnetism.
Target Audience: 1st year License Science and Technology (ST)
The overall competency targeted by this course is that: - The course focuses on mechanical physics and its numerous concepts, which can be complex at times. - Mandatory readings, examples to watch that may be useful in problem-solving, a series of recommended exercises, and the location of the chapter summary page. - In total, over 30 hours of video capsules are available to help you complete your learning by showing you the right problem-solving methods with exercises from the current module. - You are also provided with a summary document of the chapter and the solution to some problems from the chapter to assist you. For each module, a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) must be completed to check your learning. Approximately every three chapters, an assignment must be done and submitted to the professor to assess the mastery of your learning. Assessment Methods for Learning The final evaluation is conducted through: A. A final written exam that covers everything you have seen in this course during the semester, which accounts for 60% of the final grade. B. Continuous and regular evaluations make up the remaining 40%, allowing you to accumulate points throughout the semester. This continuous evaluation is carried out in different forms, including: - The average of written quiz scores, - The grades obtained from individual and group projects, - The average grade from tutorial control assessments.

- Les travaux pratiques TPs en synthèse organique s'articulent autour de la synthèse de molécules organiques par des réactions simples (saponification, estérification, alkylation, substitution, etc.) ainsi que différentes méthodes de purification (distillation, cristallisation, chromatographie) ;
- ce travail pratique de synthèse organique pour les troisièmes années (L3) ; option chimie organique ;

Mathematics is a fundamental tool used to understand, analyze, and solve problems in various fields ranging from science and engineering to economics and computer science. At the core of mathematics lies logical reasoning, rigorous methods of proof, and the study of mathematical structures such as relations, sets, and applications.
This course is intended for first year ST students.
Learning goal
The objectives of the course are presented as follows:
- Understand and manipulate the fundamental concepts of algebra, geometry, and functions.
- Master techniques of differential and integral calculus.
- Be able to solve concrete mathematical problems related to science and technology.
- Analyze and interpret data using mathematical methods.
- Use mathematical tools to model and solve problems encountered in specific scientific and technological fields.
- Develop the ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly and precisely.

The mathematics course is designed to familiarise students with the fundamental concepts of mathematics that will serve as a basis for their subsequent studies in various fields. The course covers a wide range of topics from algebra and calculus to mathematical reasoning and logic. It aims to develop the skills needed to solve problems and understand mathematical concepts in a rigorous manner.
