The main objective of this course is to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the fundamental principles of grain storage and packaging. It is structured in two main parts, subdivided into several chapters, to guide you progressively through the different aspects of this essential discipline.
The first part, entitled "Grain Storage Strategy," explores the general principles of storage, basic concepts, advantages, stock quality, storage methods, structural planning, physical and mechanical characteristics of silage, the grain cycle, and inspection and sampling methods.
The second part, entitled "Grain Spoilage and Stock Treatment," focuses on grain structure and composition, physical properties, spoilage factors (physical and biological), insects, and rodents.
By the end of this course, you will be able to master techniques for preserving grain quality, preventing post-harvest losses, and ensuring food safety, based on a solid and structured knowledge of the various aspects of storage and packaging.
